The topic of practice here is to discuss “Pure Dzogchen” within this book. Pure Dzogchen refers to the following: in the past, many Dzogchen texts and teachers mixed the internal content of Dzogchen with that of the sutras, or merged Dzogchen with the Tantras. By claiming that one must progress through the levels of the bhumis and the paths just like the lower vehicles, many people became confused about the distinctions between Dzogchen practice and Secret Mantra.
What is called “Pure Dzogchen” here refers to how this book explains the method of practicing unadulterated Dzogchen without mixing it with other systems. Because it does not explain it by combining all various branches of practice, people are able to understand what is truly meant by “Pure Dzogchen.” The subject matter is vast and contains topics suitable for both beginners and those with great experience in practice.
Although the entire book cannot be finished in a shortevent, we will follow the wishes of the audience—whether that means proceeding step-by-step from the beginning or selecting important excerpts from the book. Since this book serves as a root manual, it elaborates on dispelling obstacles to practice and includes physical, verbal, and mental training in the event.

2026. July 18 - 19
/ 10.00-17.00 BUDAPEST; 1-8 am Pacific
LOCATION: Sambhala Tibet Center
Budapest I. Attila out 123. 11cs
REGISTER FOR IN PERSON: sambhala@tibet.hu
The primary topic of the session is nothing else than pure dzogchen (total perfection) meditation, which on the one hand is more comfortable than other types of meditations, on the other hand does not require many complex techniques. The exercises will be directed toward achieving the realization, which is considered very distant individually. For this purpose, we receive guidance and training on how to overcome obstacles and errors in both pure dzog and meditation in general; thus participation may be beneficial to all Buddhist practitioners. Considering submitting the mistakes that arise during meditation - frivolousness, forgetting instructions, dullness and restlessness - the more the practitioner becomes proficient in applying the eight antidotees, the more progress is developed as in the case of a child learning to read and write.
The master will teach several methods suitable for eliminating mistakes, as well as how to maintain mental focus in order to overcome the lack of improvement in experiencing pleasure and emptiness, how to deal with the weakening of mental energy that reverses the previously acquired mental abilities, the doubt that arises on previously understood key aspects and treatment of hesitation, what to do in case of physical illnesses affecting the body and mental disorders caused by natural spirits and obstructive forces. We can also learn how to identify the mistakes arising from different temperament of individual practitioners and we can also get acquainted with the methods of physical exercises and deepening understanding. The book titled Pure Dzogchen, written individually by Gese, titled Tiszta Dzogcsen, has been published in Hungarian under the care of Samádhi publishing house.

HOLY WOMEN
OF GREAT PERFECTION
JULY 25-26, 2026
In person & online; recordings available

In this retreat, Geshe Dangsong Namgyal will transmit to us the teachings of a chapter from the great Bön Dzogchen (rdzogs chen) treatise, the Ye khri mtha’ sel. These instructions are a collection of the thirty essential precepts of wise women dating from extremely ancient times up to the 8th century. These women were exclusively accomplished masters who attained ultimate realization, such as the rainbow body (jalu), throughout the regions of Tibet and Central Asia.
In his youth in Tibet, Geshe Dangsong Namgyal received the lineages of this text and, later, through extensive study of Dzogchen, recognized the importance of these instructions. He has been writing a commentary and published a book explaining these precepts, which is available in several languages.
The central theme is the equal capacity of all beings for the activities of perfect enlightenment and compassion; the text elucidates the symbols and secret meanings that demonstrate the real and enduring nature of the mind, which is primordially perfect and complete.
Although the ultimate state of Buddhahood is spontaneously present within one’s own continuum and does not need to be attained through great effort, in order to understand this point, if one practices these concise essential instructions in connection with the physical postures taught here by the Dakinis, the method for introducing you to the ever-present and extremely profound nondual meditation is revealed.
In connection with this, there will be a discussion that will include additional topics such as how to cleanse faults in Dzogchen meditation and how to improve practice through physical and vocal exercises; everyone is welcome to attend.
